In contrast, in the sandstone/siltstone samples, the n-alkanes have a higher relative abundance of medium-molecular-weight homologues and are dominated by C 22 with no or only slight odd-to-even C number predominances from C 23 to C 29. ![]() ![]() n-Alkanes in the organic-rich strata are characterized by a higher relative abundance of high-molecular-weight (HMW) homologues and are dominated by C 25, C 27 or C 29 with distinct odd-to-even C number predominances from C 23 to C 29. The OM in all of the analyzed samples is Type III with Ro less than 0.6%, indicating that the OM associated with these U ore deposits can be classified as a poor hydrocarbon source potential for oil and gas. Organic matter (OM) associated with the Dongsheng sedimentary U ore hosting sandstone/siltstone was characterized by Rock-Eval, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and stable C isotope analysis and compared to other OM in the sandstone/siltstone interbedded organic matter-rich strata. Conclusions: After GK treatment, the levels of TNF-α and IL-1βmRNA increased in the brain of rats with glioma, and the TNF-α and IL-1β contents in the peripheral blood of the rats were also increased, suggesting that the changes might be related to the changes of the immune status induced by the gamma knife treatment. The area density of positive cells in the brain of the group TR was higher than that of group T(P<0.01) (2) ANONA test showed that the contents of TNF-α and IL-1β in the peripheral blood of group TR and group T were significantly higher than those in groups N and NR, and those of group TR were higher than those of group T(P<0.01). The area density of the positive cells in the brain of the group T was higher than that of groups N and NR (P<0.01), and a large amount of infiltrating glial cells and monocytes were found in the tumour area. Results: In groups N and NR, minimal levels of TNF-α and IL-1β mRNA could be detected in the brain, and a small amount of weak positive cells were dispersed in some areas such as the cerebral cortex, some hypothalamic nuclei, etc. ![]() On day 14 after irradiation, all of the rats were examined with in situ hybridization for TNF-α and IL-1β mRNA in the brain tissue, and the content of TNF-α in the peripheral blood was also determined. On day 14 after implantation of glioma cells, the rats in groups T and N were sacrificed and their brains were sampled, whereas the rats in groups TR and NR were undergone the GK irradiation with the same procedure mentioned above. Methods: A total of 20 normal adult male SD rats were divided into 4 groups: the normal control group (group N), normal rats with GK treatment group (group NR), tumor group (group T) and GK treatment for the tumor group (group TR). Objective: By observing the expressions of the TNF-α and IL-1β in the brain of rats with glioma after gamma knife (GK) therapy, to investigate the role of neuroimmunomodulation in the stereotaxic radiosurgery treatment.
